They are based on the concepts of "Sin" from a variety of different religions (since most tend to be similar anyways), but yes the 7 deadly are included in there along with HUNDREDS more...did you know in ancient China it's a SIn to have skinky feet? And they have a demon for stinky feet? lmao
You should look up the deadly sins on wiki, there actually used to be more than seven. They ended up being recognized as reiterations of a few of the others. When you think about it, even though specific sins can be generalized and put into groups, there's quite a mix of them, similar to human emotions: certain combinations can make for something complicated and/or harmful.
BTW, I take back what I said about The Bird and the Worm in my review. Your trailer is perpetually in my head whenever I listen to it, I play it like three times a day!
But think about the fine steel quote. It's true, right? The highest in quality, in both metal and people, usually takes the most effort or work to turn out the best of their potential(read your B/W issue, clicked through a ton of web pages and several ad pages but it was worth it). Fibble, already being pure in spirit-- or a sinner? Either way, he is still plagued by Sin, the difference from the rest of humanit being Sin himself, being so close to Fibble(because of Fibble's curse), is like a direct link to the inferno. Fibble has a lot of work, his whole life in particular, to keep on the straight and narrow in order to come out on top and at his best. The quote really sums up the plot of your tale, especially the part about fire.
Yeah read the response to the guy above you. I use a lot of sin sources from various religions. Its like a huge melting pot of Hell haha! And thanks man glad the music/ trailer burned itself into your mind now <3 Also, you caught the allegory I was making about "being cursed with Sin" but for Fibble its like a real entity! Now that I think of it, I'm curious as to how you'd handle writing the manifestation of Impatience into the comic.
In fact, that's something you could go on. The Fruit of Sin: Hate, Sorrow, Strife, Impatience, Cruelty, Evilness, Infidelity, Crudeness, Impulsiveness.
Maybe you could only manifest 2 of them, but it would be interesting to see in the story, as a counter-concept to the nature of the Holy Spirit.
