I also go by Comickpro on other sites and C0MICK on Youtube. I am an indie animator and comic book artist. I 'm mostly known for the comic book series In The Dark and the animated series Skitzo the 1920s Killer Bear.

$12 ticket for a day is actually super cheap lol, but yeah if you are not in Salinas and live in LA, I can see that being a long trip (and gas+ 5hr distance is pricey!)

You really have to dig deep to find it.
Conventions help because it makes something otherwise obscure a lot more readily available to the public.
Conventions hosting independent artists have a certain thrill of discovery.
