YES! Brazilian is totally cool! Latino means from Latin America so, basically any place below the USA counts (That means Brazil, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, El Salvador etc etc) and including the Caribbean islands like Puerto Rico, Cuba, Dominican Republic etc etc. And you don't need to live there, you can be of Brazilian decent and live in France and you are still considered Latino. All we ask in this case is that if your animation is in Portuguese, please have English subs on it. :D
